Kenny's love for aviation began while listening to his pilot Dad talk about airplanes. After soloing an airplane when he was sixteen, Kenny decided to pursue a career in aviation. Obtaining his Airframe and Powerplant licenses in his native USA , he then pursued his Commercial Pilot License.
After a few years of general aviation maintenance in the USA, Kenny relocated his family to Australia and began the process of obtaining Australian licenses and searching for a job. While working for a maintenance organization at Bankstown, Kenny secured a job with David Lowy. In 1999 Kenny was offered the transfer to Temora to oversee the construction of the Temora Aviation Museum.
In February 2002, Kenny was appointed as Chief Executive of the Temora Aviation Museum.
Kenny also pilots some of the Museum aircraft including the Tiger Moth, Wirraway and Cessna O-2A.
