The Temora Aviation Museum is proud to have a Volunteer program that comprises of a wonderful team of people who generously give their time to assist with the success of the Museum.
The most important role of the volunteer is to help visitors enjoy their time at the Museum by demonstrating a friendly and courteous disposition.
When the Museum is open, visitors are offered a tour of the Museum and learn about the Museum’s aircraft & facilities. Volunteers can also assist in the gift shop; washing aircraft and preparing the Flightline Gift Shop prior to a flying weekend. A minimum of two volunteers assist each day with the majority of volunteers assisting on flying days.
Because the Museum’s aircraft are airworthy they are maintained by the Museum’s Engineering staff.
Whilst there is not a mandatory commitment required from volunteers, twelve hours per month is strongly recommended.
Successful volunteer applicants are required to undertake a two day training course held at the Museum. Aircraft and general Museum knowledge is covered, this course also includes CPR and Fire Safety training by qualified instructors. |
